Shoulder And Elbow

We manage shoulder and elbow pain through thorough assessment, targeted physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medication, corticosteroid injections, and if needed, minimally invasive procedures or surgery to address underlying issues and optimize function.

Shoulder:

Shoulder pain can significantly impact your daily life such as difficulty reaching, lifting, carrying objects, even getting dressed in the morning .

  • Rotator Cuff Injury: Damage or tears to the group of muscles and tendons surrounding the shoulder joint, often resulting from overuse, trauma, or degeneration.
  • Labrum Injury: Damage to the cartilage ring (labrum) that lines and stabilizes the shoulder socket, often caused by repetitive overhead motions or traumatic injuries.

Elbow:

Elbow pain often radiates down the arm, affecting mobility and function of the entire upper limb impairing ability to perform specific activities that involve bending the elbow, such as swinging a racket or golf club, or typing on a keyboard.

  • Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis): Involves inflammation or microtears in the tendons on the outer side of the elbow, typically due to repetitive wrist extension movements.
  • Golfer’s Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis): Involves inflammation or microtears in the tendons on the inner side of the elbow, often caused by repetitive gripping or wrist flexion motions.
